Congratulations! You've transformed your client's lashes or brows, and they look amazing. But to keep that stunning look for as long as possible, it's crucial for your clients to follow proper aftercare. We'll help you explain this to them in an easy-to-digest format. Let’s start with what they shouldn't do!

**LASH LIFT & BROW LAMINATION AFTERCARE DON'TS:**

1. **Don't get wet:** For the first 24-48 hours, steer clear of water. This includes washing your face or going for a swim, as moisture can ruin the shape of the lift or lamination.

2. **Avoid heat and steam:** Stay away from hot showers, saunas, and intense sunlight. High temperatures can soften the setting solution, making the results falter before they fully set.

3. **No eye makeup:** Hold off on applying mascara, eyeliner, or brow products for the first 1-2 days. These can weigh down the hair and interfere with their new shape. And avoid water proof mascara.

4. **Don't rub or touch:** Be gentle when cleaning around your eyes. Rubbing can disrupt the shape. Pat lashes or brows dry instead of rubbing.

5. **Skip stomach sleeping:** Try to sleep on your back. Sleeping on your side or face can flatten or mess up your new look. If you know your client is a side or front sleeper recommend an eye mask - these are good to keep in stock we have retail options as well.

6. **No additional curling:** The lash lift enhances natural curls; using an eyelash curler can damage them.

7. **Avoid oil-based products:** Stay clear of oily creams or makeup near the eye area, as they can break down the lift and lamination.

8. **Don’t pull or pick:** Refrain from pulling at your lashes or brows. If any product clumps, use a clean spoolie brush to gently separate and tame them.

9. **Stay away from harsh chemicals:** This includes chlorinated water, like in swimming pools, and hair dye. These can weaken the treatment's effectiveness.

10. **Limit sweating:** Avoid intense exercise or anything that makes you sweat a lot for a couple of days to help maintain the lift.

### **LASH LIFT & BROW LAMINATION AFTERCARE DO’S:**

Now, here are the things they should definitely do:

1. **Be gentle:** Touch your lashes and brows with care. Vigorous rubbing could ruin the lift.

2. **Use conditioner:** Apply a nourishing lash serum daily. This is a MUST. We have some amazing serum that you can buy in the retail section.

3. **Brush daily:** Use a clean spoolie brush to maintain and encourage the right shape of lashes and brows.

4. **Schedule touch-ups:** To keep them looking their best, plan for a touch-up every 6-8 weeks depending on growth patterns.

5. **Protect while sleeping:** Use a silk or satin pillowcase and try to sleep on your back to reduce friction on your lashes and brows.

### **TIPS FOR ENCOURAGING AFTERCARE:**

- **Educate:** Take extra time to explain why aftercare matters. Understanding the potential impact of neglect can motivate clients to stick to the guidelines.

- **Provide printouts:** Give clients a written list of aftercare steps to take home as a handy reference. We have cards that can be purchased to give to your clients and one for you to have them sign.

- **Be available for questions:** Encourage clients to reach out if they have any uncertainties about their aftercare routine.

- **Follow up:** Touch base after a few days to see how things are going and offer any support they might need.

**WHAT IF THEY DON'T FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS?**

If a client skips on the aftercare, it might compromise their results. In such cases, assess their situation to see if future treatments suit their lifestyle. Sometimes you may need to recommend an alternative that aligns better with their habits.

Keeping your clients informed and engaged in their aftercare will ensure their lashes and brows stay fabulous for as long as possible!
