Are your lash product covered by your insurer?
If you are in the EU the lash products you use in your salon will have to have comply with EU and UK regulations
This is to make sure that all lash products that you use are safe for you to use and apply to your clients.
This will involve safety testing being carried out by an independent toxicologist
Manufacturers within the EU will have to comply with these regulations anyway, but when products are imported from countries outside it can sometimes not be the case.
Sometimes cheaper, imported adhesives can contain imperfect raw ingredients that require more aggressive stabilisers and extra additives to extend bonding time that can potentially cause sensitivities.
All products including lash cleansers and removers etc, except adhesives are classed as a cosmetic
Cosmetics will have to comply also. Cosmetic compliance involves EU/UK safety testing and then notification to the CPNP (Cosmetic Product Notification Portal), as well as strict legal labelling.
Imported products will have to be safety tested to make sure the ingredients and % of such are safe for use, checked that there is no animal testing and carry a Product Information File.
In the event of a potential claim insurers will insist that all your products meet all EU regulations for your cover to be valid.
